Puqing Li

Puqing Li is a PhD candidate in the School of Geosciences at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on understanding the structural, rheological, and seismic heterogeneity of the upper mantle through comprehensive analysis of mantle xenoliths from southeastern Australia. His work combines advanced analytical techniques including X-ray computed tomography (XRCT) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) to characterize mantle petrophysical properties and their implications for mineral exploration. By integrating direct mantle observations with regional geophysical datasets, his research aims to enhance geological interpretations of seismic and magnetotelluric models for mineral system mapping beneath sedimentary cover.
